Karina began her career in New York City at ESPN working in multi-media ad sales. After five years, she decided to pursue other opportunities at media conglomerate Viacom Inc., working in Nickelodeon business and legal affairs and MTV news and movies, before transitioning back into sports at the National Football League in 2007. During her six year tenure, Karina managed high-profile player programs and services while expanding her role in 2011 into digital content development and management. She was instrumental in the development and rebranding of the NFL Player Engagement website, awarded recognition from the NFL for her excellence in innovation, and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the NFL Player Engagement website before departing in 2013. Shortly after, she served as the Interactive Marketing Manager for the Brooklyn Nets, managing the day-to-day aspects of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center web properties including the Brooklyn Nets foreign language sites, to ensure a strong online brand presence and site alignment with all organizational marketing strategies and goals. Karina had the opportunity to return to Viacom in 2015 and currently works at Nickelodeon where she project manages large scale Nickelodeon brand and property events such as Kids’ Choice Awards, KIds' Choice Sports and HALO Awards.
Karina possesses strong oral and written communication skills with big picture focus on client services, meeting strategic objectives and innovation. She has extensive experience performing in fast-paced business settings and a strong ability to build relationships at all levels including executives and high-profile figures, as well as collaborate with a diverse, cross-functional group of colleagues to achieve short and long term goals in programming, business development, marketing, and public relations. During her career, Karina also has proven event management experience in corporate environments and live sports events including the NFL Rookie Symposium, as well as a strong knowledge of developing and executing contracts, branding guidelines, and marks usage rights.
